Budgeting apps are very good at telling you what you did wrong. Pulse does something different. It looks for the moments in your spending that are genuinely fun to notice, and turns them into cards you can flick through in about thirty seconds.

Where to Find It
One card appears on your dashboard as a teaser. Tap it to open the full Pulse feed, where the rest are waiting. New cards appear as life happens, so it is worth checking back rather than treating it as a one-time thing.
What Pulse Looks For
Pulse watches for patterns rather than problems: the merchant you keep coming back to, the streak you did not realize you were on, a new habit forming, how your spending clusters around weekends, and the milestones you hit together as a couple. Every card is built from your own transactions, using the same privacy rules as the rest of Halfway. Shared expenses are shared; personal stays personal.
Cards Worth Sending
Some cards have a Share button. Tap it and Pulse hands you a line of text ready for your messages app. One rule we set ourselves and will not break: dollar amounts never leave the app. Counts, streaks, percentages and merchant names can travel. Your actual numbers stay between you and your partner.
If You Are Just Getting Started
Pulse needs a bit of history before it has anything interesting to say. Rather than padding it out with filler, we show a few example cards so you can see what is coming, and the real ones take over as your transactions build up. If we do not have something genuinely interesting, we would rather show you nothing.
The Numbers Behind It
At the bottom of the feed you will also find your lifetime stats: how many expenses you have logged, how long you have been on Halfway together, how much you have split, and the next milestone you are heading for.
