Two people looking out at a rising projection curve that widens into a range of possible outcomes
Built for two

Most planning tools assume one pot of money

Real couples rarely work that way. Some things are shared, some stay personal, and both are legitimate. Halfway is the only forecast that starts from that instead of pretending otherwise.

Just me

Your own money, on its own. Nothing shared, nothing merged.

Me and our shared life

Your personal finances plus everything you share. The honest picture of your side of the household.

Us

Both of you, in full. Needs both partners to opt in, because a joint plan should be a joint decision.

A forecast never exposes your partner's personal accounts. The same privacy rules apply here as everywhere else in Halfway.

How it works

Your first forecast is already waiting

We start from what you have

Balances, what you own and owe, your income and a year of real spending. No blank page, no data entry marathon.

You answer a few questions

Your age, when you would like to stop working, and who the plan covers. That is the whole setup.

You get your curve

Net worth projected year by year, with the assumptions behind it visible and yours to change.

Life events

Watch the line move

Add a decision to the timeline and see what it costs you, or does not. The point is not the number at the end. It is the difference between two versions of your life.

We show you a range, not a promise

Nobody can tell you what your net worth will be in 2056. Anyone showing you a single confident number, or a probability-of-success score, is dressing up a guess.

Halfway shows a low, expected and high path, and puts every assumption behind them on screen where you can change it. If you disagree with our growth rate, use yours.

Forecasting is an educational tool. It is not investment, tax, legal or financial advice.

Questions

Is forecasting free?

The baseline projection is free. It uses your real accounts and spending, and it shows you the actual number rather than a blurred teaser. Life events and saved scenarios are part of Premium. In countries where Premium is not sold yet, the whole feature is free.

How is this different from a retirement calculator?

A calculator asks you to type in every number. Halfway already has your balances, what you own and owe, your income and a year of real spending, so your first projection is waiting for you after a few questions. It also updates as your actual finances change.

Does it work if my partner and I keep our money separate?

That is what it was built for. You can project just yourself, yourself plus your shared life, or both of you together. Most tools assume one shared pot. Halfway does not.

Will my partner see my personal accounts?

No. A forecast follows the same privacy rules as the rest of Halfway. Your personal accounts stay yours, and the joint projection covering both of you in full requires both partners to opt in.

How accurate is it?

It is an estimate, not a prediction. You get a range rather than one confident number, and every assumption behind it is visible and adjustable. Small changes in assumptions produce very different results over decades, which is exactly why we show the range.

Is this financial advice?

No. Forecasting is an educational tool. It is not investment, tax, legal or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.
