My partner made more than me. For the first year, we split everything 50/50 because... well, that's what seemed "fair," right?

I was stressed about money constantly while she had plenty left over. She felt guilty every time she wanted to do something I couldn't afford. We'd have these tense conversations where I'd try to be cool about it, but I wasn't. And the resentment built.
