Transparent Balance Breakdown
The settlement page shows a complete breakdown of how the balance was calculated:
- Total shared expenses in the current period
- How much each partner paid
- Each partner's fair share based on your split ratio
- Any previous settlements
- The net amount owed
The math stays visible and transparent until the balance reaches exactly $0. Partial settlements add a "Settlements" line to the breakdown rather than resetting the numbers.
Multiple Payment Methods
When it's time to settle, record how you paid: Venmo, Zelle, bank transfer, cash, or any other method. The settlement is logged with the date and payment method for your records.
Settlement History
Every settlement is saved permanently. You can look back at past settlements to see patterns, review totals, and confirm past payments. It's your financial relationship history in one clean timeline.
