One Toggle. That's All You Need.

If you're a freelancer, run a side hustle, or manage rental properties, you know the pain of separating business expenses from personal ones. Business Expense Tracking adds a simple toggle to any transaction that marks it as a business expense.

How It Works

  1. Create a business: Name your freelance work, LLC, or side project
  2. Toggle transactions: When creating or editing a transaction, flip the "Business" toggle and select which business it belongs to
  3. See dedicated dashboards: Each business gets its own income, expenses, and net profit view
  4. Export for taxes: Download CSV reports filtered by business for tax preparation

Business Stays Personal

Business transactions are personal by default. Your partner won't see them unless you explicitly mark them as shared. This means your freelance income and expenses stay completely separate from your household budget.

Profit and Loss Reports

See a dedicated P&L statement for each business. Track monthly revenue trends, expense breakdowns by category, and net profit over time. Perfect for quarterly tax estimates.

Tax Preparation

Business Tracking includes a Schedule C tax preparation view that maps your expense categories to IRS tax lines. Export everything your accountant needs without manual spreadsheet work.

Premium Feature (Beta)

Business Expense Tracking is available in beta on the Premium plan. You can track up to 5 businesses per household. Sign up for Halfway to get started.
